Kluesner, Kern win final horseshoe event
Jake Kluesner and Rose Kern won the Southeast Missouri Horseshoe Association's final event of the year Saturday at the Knights of Columbus in Leopold, Mo.
Cori Stoverink and Darren Glastetter placed second, while Randy Grady and Mike DeVault finished third.
On the season, Lachelle Cook gained the most points with 81. Danny Williams was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and Kitty Prindle was voted most improved player.

Charles Hearn used a pitching wedge from 110 yards to ace hole No. A at Kimbeland.
It was the first hole-in-one for Hearn in more than 40 years of playing golf.

Jeff Diebold, Ho Son, Will Adams and Sherre Simmons shot a 62 on Monday to win the championship flight of the Cape Chamber scramble at Bent Creek.

The Southeast Missouri chapter of the University of Missouri alumni association will gather Saturday evening at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the unbeaten Missouri Tigers take on Texas Tech at 6 p.m.
