Kern, Burnett take first place

Bob Burnett and Rose Kern teamed to win the Southeast Missouri Horsheshoe Association's tournament Sunday in Oran.

Lachelle Cook and Bill Senciboy Jr. took second while Randy Senciboy and Joe Bean were third.

Lynch wins Punts, Pass and Kick age division

Jonathan Lynch of Cape Girardeau won the boys 12 to 13 age division of the Punt, Pass and Kick competition held recently.

Lynch's combined distance was 304 feet.

Joshua Ferrill of Murphysboro, Ill., won the boys 8 to 9 division (186-9), Emma Nehring of Murphysboro won the girls 8 to 9 division (118-9), Poplar Bluff's Reuben Johnson won the boys 10 to 11 division (212-9.5), Olivia Graff of Murphysboro won the girls 11 to 12 division (105-1.5), Madison Graig won the girls 12 to 13 division (188-7), Dylan Graig of Murphysboro won the boys 14 to 15 division (364-4) and Sarah MacFarlane of Murphysboro won the girls 14 to 15 division (262-9).

Schneider, Buehler win Morley race

Alex Schneider of Cape Girardeau and Christy Buehler of Festus won their classes at the Morley Fall Festival 5K run recently.

Schneider, competing in the 20 to 24 men's division, was the top male finisher.

Buehler, competing in the 30 to 34 women's division, was the top female finisher.
