The Dalhousie Golf Club shot a 677 to win the SEMO Cup golf tournament Saturday at the Sikeston Country Club. Westwood Hills Country Club finished second with a 692 and the Cape Girardeau Country Club followed with a 706.

Dalhousie used six twosomes to win the tournament, which features nine holes of play in four different formats. Members of the team were Mark Allen, Todd Eastin, Scott Roe, Ben Cantrell, Ken Swinford, Greg Howard, David Clabaugh, Todd Ladd, Mark Johnson, Lance Bray, Mark McDowell and Mark Unger.

Dalhousie had teams at least tie for first in the four ball, scramble and chapman competitions. Results in Scoreboard.

Stoddard County volleyball

tournament begins today

The Stoddard County Athletic Association tournament will begin today at Bell City with a trio of area teams vying for the title.

Defending Class 1 state champion Bell City (18-5-1) enters the tournament with the No. 3 seed and will face Bloomfield on Tuesday. Advance is seeded fourth in the tournament and will face fifth-seeded Woodland in the opening round. Advance (14-9-1) beat Woodland in two games at home Friday night.

The top seeds entering the tournament are Puxico and Dexter. No. 1 Puxico (21-3) is 6-1 in conference play . Bernie and Richland are seeded seventh and eighth, respectively.
