JACKSON, Mo. -- Trevor Thompson delivered a bases-loaded single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to break a 12-12 tie and lift Jackson's American Legion baseball team to a 13-12 win over Chaffee.

Trailing 12-6, Chaffee scored six runs in the top of the ninth to deadlock the contest.
Thompson was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Tim Stearns was 3-for-5 with three doubles. Austin McDowell was 2-for-3, including a three-run home run.
