Notes: Central has one of the top pitchers in the district in Megan McDonald and can counter with a solid No. 2 in Shana Wadlington. The Tigers are coming off a 2-0 win over second-seed Hillsboro with the help of 10 McDonald strikeouts. Hillsboro's top pitcher, Amanda Clark, has put up solid numbers all year, including a 14-6 record and 1.21 ERA. Some of the top hitters in the district include Central's McDonald, Claire Heumann of Hillsboro and Sam Gaines of Poplar Bluff, who has a .429 average. Sikeston has a young lineup as it goes against a Farmington team that relies on fielding behind a finesse pitcher. Jackson heads into its matchup with Poplar Bluff fired up after being passed over for the No. 2 seed despite beating Hillsboro in the regular season.CLASS 3, DISTRICT 2
