Swartz records hole-in-one

Dick Swartz carded his third career ace Saturday at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Swartz achieved the feat with a 7-iron on No. 8, a 139-yard par 3.

Witnesses to the shot were Ted Streete, Bill Reno and Rogers VanAusdall.

Connell cards 5th career ace

Cape Girardeau Country Club professional Jack Connell deposited his fifth hole-in-one Thursday at the club.

Connell used a 7-iron on the 144-yard 13th hole. He also finished the round with a 2-under-par 68.

Witnessing the ace were Mark McDowell, Bill Morgan and Ron Seabaugh.

12-year-old sinks ace

Todd Obergoenner, age 12 of Cape Girardeau, recently turned a round of golf on his family vacation into a memorable event with a hole-in-one.

Playing with his father, Don, and younger brother, Clay, Todd aced the No. 9 hole at the Top of the Rock golf course in Ridgedale, Mo.

Todd hit a wedge on the 102-yard hole.
