Southeast roller hockey competes in regional

The Southeast Missouri State roller hockey club team performed so well two weeks ago at the Great Plains Collegiate Inline Hockey League tournament it now finds itself in a bit of limbo.

Southeast, which had placed eighth in the regular-season standings for Conference B, was one of the last teams standing at the regional championships Feb. 27-28 at Madison Square Gardens Tri-Plex in St. Peters, Mo.

The team still may be able to play in the Division II national tournament, set for April 14-18 in Anaheim, Calif. The top two teams in each of the eight regions qualify. Southeast may get a spot in the field of 16 if another school does make make the trip.

Southeast, which had struggled during a 6-11-1 regular season, won two tournament games and lost only top top-seeded Missouri-St. Louis and eventual champion Meramec Community College.

IC golf outing is April 26
