Doctors, lawyers take rivalry to softball

After a fifth straight loss in the Doctor-Lawyer Basketball Showdown this year, the lawyers are hoping a change of venue will help their case.

The inaugural Doctor-Lawyer Softball Game will be played 6 p.m. Aug. 19 at Arena Park's Field No. 10. A pregame tailgate party will begin at 4:30 p.m. with food and beverages.

The event will raise funds for the Community Counseling Center Foundation. The Community Counseling Center is a not-for-profit mental health care center.

The 13th annual basketball contest was played in March with the doctors taking a 11-2 lead in the series.
