Rains, Cook team for horseshoes victory

Jason Rains and Lachelle Cook joined forces to win the SEMO Horseshoe Association's 16-team event at the Benton Neighbors Day.

Lester Powell and Carolyn Schreckenberg finished second, while Glen Backfisch and Brian Ressel were third.

The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday at the Bell City Picnic.

Jackson's Bonnie Kinder used a 5-wood to score an ace on hole No. 6 at Kimbeland Country Club.

The hole was playing 134 yards.

Carole Calvin and Mary Anderson witnessed the shot.

It was the 75-year-old Kinder's first career hole-in-one.
