Mills team captures flight title

The team of Matt Mills, Jason Comfort, Ben Brumitt and Tim Holden shot a 55 to win the championship flight of the Jason Crowell golf outing at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The team of Clay Hurst, Brad Womack, Mike Hill and Bob Englehart tied the team of Jim Gleason, Keith Davidson, Larry Eby and Justin Gosa with 57s.

In A flight, the team of H.D. Tewis, Linda Tewis, David Gelsheimer and Mitch Wood won with a 63, followed by the team of Keith Gregston, Tim Williams, Mike Newman and Roger Parker, which also shot a 63. The team of Rick Ross, Brian Stevens, Bill Sellers and Vanessa Schwartz was third with a 64.

In B flight, the team of Pat Ray, Joel Ray, Janet Varnon and John Abercrombie won with a 69, followed by the team of Patrick Wallace, Kyle Colle, Terry Farrow and Paul Brinkopy and the team of Tony Buehrle, Greg Jansen, Rick Kennard and Glen Cook.

Roberts team wins golf tournament

The team of Dave Roberts, Jerry Buschelman, Ben Lewis and Tim Kelley took first place overall in the Cape Girardeau Country Club's Men's Golf Association's ABCD tournament. The first six holes used a scramble format, the middle six holes were alternate shot and the final six holes were best ball.

The team of Chris Gross, Mark Kneer, David Morris and Rocky Hegwood won the scramble format, the team of Gary Lynch, Kathy Morris, Joe McKeon and Jeff Hine won the alternate shot format and the team of Keith Middleton, Bob Hand, John Holcomb and Chris Adkisson won the best ball format.
