Cape Girardeau's Jesse Schott carded a 72 to win the title in the boys 18 holes 14- to 18-year-olds division of the Perry County Junior Golf Championship at Perryville Country Club.

Perryville's Brett Wengert finished three shots back.

Chris Sheeran won the nine holes 14 to 17 division with a 35.

Betty DeWitt and Bev Metheny both shot 78s to tie for second place.

Church team takes first in division

The team of Drew Church, Dane Church, Kent Phillips and Todd Obergoenner shot a 57 to take first place in the championship flight at the Central Boosters scramble at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The team of Jason Crowell, Mark Hahn, Jason LaPlant and Curt Buchheit shot a 59 for second while the team of Scott Quizenberry, Bob Hawkinson, Brian Stevenson and Troy Jones shot a 59 for third.

The team of Roger Tolliver, Jeff Hotop, Jeff Gotto and Dal Latham shot a 63 to win A flight. The team of Clint Karnes, Phil Cantoni, David Morris and Marvin Adams was second while the team of Dan Lynn, Tom Dean, Percy Houston and Andrew Rohan was third.

The team of Adam Kidd, Hi Werner, Mark Rhodes and Kevin Seabaugh shot a 66 to win B flight. The team of David Wunderlich, Steve Wunderlich, Bob Wunderlich and Mike Tripp took second while the team of Phil Moore, Corey Daniels, Gary Turner and Mike Jones finished third.

Johnson captures medalist honors

Barb Johnson finished as the medalist at the Kimbeland Ladies weekly golf outing.

Sissy Donohue and Karen Heisel tied atop the championship flight while Lillian Schneider and Joan Clark tied for first in A flight. Mary Rose James won C flight.
