DeWitt claims handicap tournament at Dalhousie

Betty DeWitt won a ladies handicap tournament Saturday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

DeWitt had a net total of 69 to finish three shots ahead of Mary Jane Eftink. Eileen Owens and Nancy Settles tied for third, five shots behind DeWitt.

Deanna Estes (No. 5) and Alice Temm (No. 8) won the closest-to-the-pin competitions.

Houseman aces hole at Jaycee Municipal

Dana Houseman recently carded a hole in one at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

Houseman used a driver to ace No. 8, a par 3 playing 138 yards. Witnesses were Houseman's husband, Jeff Houseman, and daugher, Jessica Houseman.
