Cook, Senciboy win horseshoe tourney

Randy Senciboy and Lachelle Cook took first place in the SEMO Horseshoe Association's tournament at the Backyard Club.

Jerome Backfisch and Martin Williams took second, while James Hillis and Terrie Rose were third in the five-team tournament.

Rick Ziegler and Carolyn Schreckenberg teamed to win the tournament at the Jackson Knights of Columbus.

Larry Glastetter and Cook placed second, while Mike Massa and Rose were third.

The next tournament will be Saturday at the Scott City Knights of Columbus.

Michel claims medalist honors

Betty Michel collected medalist honors at the Cape Girardeau Country Club's Women's Golf Association's weekly outing.

Mary Sue Layton and Lisa Bjelich tied for second.
