Williams, Kluesner team for victory

Melody Williams and Jake Kluesner teamed to win the Southeast Missouri Horseshoe Association's tournament at the American Legion in Benton.

Lachelle Cook and Brian Todt took second, while Jeff Miller and Larry Glastetter finished third.

Cook and Darryl Vandeven teamed to win the tournament at the Knights of Columbus in Scott City.

Marvin Margrabe and Glenn Backfisch were second, while Margie Stull and Amy Pobst took third.

Donahue captures medalist honors

Sissy Donahue earned medalist honors at the weekly Cape Chip A Ways golf outing.

Sharon Dow won the B flight, while Cathy Kapfer won the C flight.

Fern Trickey had the play of the day, and Dottie Gill and Bev Wink tied for the low putts.

In last week's outing, Jan Keefe won the A flight, Jenna Koch took the B flight and there was a three-way tie atop the C flight between Trickey, Sandy Bonner and Faye Harris.

Carolyn Blechle had the low putts and Waunita VanDyke had the play of the day.

Mealy, Regenhardt take first place

The team of Deb Mealy and Mary Alice Regenhardt took first place in the Cape Girardeau Country Club's women's weekly golf outing.

Lisa Bjelich and Kathy Morris finished second, while Joyce Kuntze and Shirley Moore were third.

Sprick outshoots opponents for win

Millersville's Mike Sprick posted a score of 85 to win the Cape Girardeau County Gun Club's Shoot and Sweat 100.

Jackson's Gary Robbins was second, while Jackson's Mark Presnell was third.

Lewis class winners were Steve LeGrand and Justin Shumpert.
