The first round of the Lassies Classic scramble golf tournament couldn't be completed Wednesday, forcing changes to today's final round.
The tournament's afternoon pairings were rained out Wednesday, so the golfers who did not play Wednesday will play 36 holes today. The golfers who were able to finish their round Wednesday will play 18 holes today.
The tournament, which started in 1979, will be played at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
The team of Clint Karnes, Ben Eller, Marvin Adams and Brad Elfrink won the championship flight of the Southeast Missouri Hospital Foundation's golf tournament at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.
The team of Keith Boeller, Steve Green, Paul Mills and Scott Boumhoer took second, while the team of Bob Fagin, Margaret Sanders, Jerry Sanders and John Tuttle was third.
The team of Butch Holyfield, Chap Arnold, David Ross and Pete DeLuca won A flight, while the team of Debbie Linnes, Steve Linnes, Bob Neff and Mike Kohlfeld was second and the team of John Thompson, Bill Phillips, Skip Lottes and Kenny Anderson took third.
The team of Kevin Holtzhouser, Mike McWilson, Russ Mothershead and Nathan McQuire won B flight, while the team of David Bozdeck, Tim Drew, Cindy Gage and Ross Gage took second and the team of Robert Perez, Steve Azinger, Jay McQuire and Robert Macklem finished third.
Diana Kantchev shot a 50-53--103 to win the girls 12- and 13-year-olds division at the Gateway Junior PGA event at Ballwin Golf Course.
Kantchev beat second-place finisher Abby Schroeder by five strokes.
Ron LeGrand and Lester Powell teamed to win the SEMO Horseshoe Association's tournament at the New Hamburg Picnic.
The team of Martin Williams and Jerome Backfisch took second, while Randy Senciboy and Diane Jackson placed third in the 13-team tournament.
Senciboy and Carolyn Schreckenberg won the nine-team tournament at the Backyard Club.
James Hillis and Joe Bean were second, while Brian Deck and Lachelle Cook placed third.
