Brady Dixon won the boys 16-19 tour division of the Gateway Junior Series event by four strokes Monday at Dalhousie Golf Club. Dixon wins Gateway Jr. Series tournament

Brady Dixon won the boys 16-19 tour division of the Gateway Junior Series event by four strokes Monday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Dixon shot a 2-under-par 70 to finish ahead of Nick Woolard and Gabe Wheeler, who both shot 74 and tied for second.

Jonathan Bell won the boys 14-15 tour division with an 85, while Sarah Bell and Samantha Hightower tied for first in girls tour at 89.

In the regular 18-hole competition, Jaden Hightower won the boys 12-13 division with an 81. Wyatt Pratt shot an 84 to win boys 14-15, while Zach Goode also carded an 84 to win boys 16-19.

Nine-hole winners were Trevor Bradley (42, boys 10-11), Nate Hulshof (44, boys 12-13), Jason Asher (43, boys 15-19), Tayrn Bell (53, girls 10-11) and Peyton Bradley (53, girls 14-15).

The next competition for the summer series will be Wednesday at Westwood Hills Country Club in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Puls, Wasinger win at Dalhousie event

Dalhousie Golf Club recently held its three-day Gentleman's Invitational, which featured eight flights and a total of 46 two-man teams.

Charles Puls and David Wasinger were the overall horse race winners, which pitted the flight winners.

Each flight had six teams and five nine-hole matches were played within each flight.

The flight winners and their point totals: Andy Spann and Bill Cady (St. Andrews, 31.5); Ray Laidet and Ed Costigan (Walker Cup, 29.5); Clayton Vandivort and Ken Anderson (Carnoustie, 32.5); Cord Dombrowski and Chuck Rounsaville (Preswick, 29.5); Dean Short and Ron Watkins (Royal Troon, 31.5); and Brad Bedell and Evan Deere (Royal Birkdale, 29.5).

Closest-to-the pin winners were Dave Milsher (No. 5) and Donnie Brittain (No. 13).

There was a hole-in-one in the competition, with Todd Ladd holing out on No. 13, a par 3 playing 158 yards. Ladd used an 8-iron. Witnesses were Ken Swinford, Spann and Cady. It was Ladd's third career ace.

Rounsaville, of Oxford, Miss., had an ace during a practice round for the tournament. The hole-in-one occurred on No. 8, a 158-yard par 3. He used a 6-hybrid. Witnesses were Dombrowski, Randy Woodard and Mike Zimmerman. It was the third ace for Rouns-aville.
