Mark Unger of Jackson recorded his third career hole in one Saturday at Kimbeland Country Club.

Unger used a 7-iron to ace No. 12, a par 3 playing 165 yards. Witnesses were Ronnie Strong and Jeff Davey.

LeGrand, Menz claim horseshoe tourney

Ron LeGrand and Diane Menz won the SEMO Horseshoe Association tournament Sunday at the Knights of Columbus in Leopold, Mo.

Randy Senciboy and Edgar Stoverink placed second, while Eddie Stause and Carolyn Schreckenberg finished third in the 16-team field.

The next competition will be Sunday at the Knights of Columbus in Oran, Mo.

Temm, Kluesner, Myers, Giebler win

The team of Alice Temm, Zach Kluesner, Brevin Giebler and Harriette Myers shot a tournament-low 51 at the Rotary 2010 Scholarship Program golf tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The foursomee played in the afternoon competition and finished four strokes ahead of the team of Brock Alspaugh, Cory Daniel, Ben Cantrell and Terry Hill.

The team of Tim Porch, Matt Porch, Jonathan Blattel and Jody Underwood won the morning competition with a 57. Brett Slaten, Jay Simmons, John Oliver and Mark Oliver shot 62 to finish second.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were: Terry Hill (No. 11, afternoon), Kevin Henderson (No. 13, afternoon), Dan Buerch (No. 11, morning) and Brett Slaten (No. 13, morning). Rob Litzelfelner (long drive) and Mike York (long putt) were afternoon winners, while Chris Bickings (long drive) and Jim Riley (long putt) were morning winners.

Dalhousie holds match-play event

Dalhousie Golf Club hosted a member-guest, match-play event with a flighted-handicap format.

Winners were Donny Beasley and Rob Anderson (St. Andrew's flight), Ken Swinford and Terry Hill (Carnoustie), Woody Harrelson and Randy Woodard (Prestwick), John Morlan and Greg Graves (Muirfield), Ian Soutar and David Holland (Turnberry), Steve Phillips and Jeff Baldwin (Royal Troon) and Dean Short and Ron Watkins (Royal Birkdale).

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Rick Henderson (No. 5), Mark Rypien (No. 8), Brian Coch (No. 11) and Graves (No. 13). Shootout winners were Short and Watkins.
