Swinford records hole in one
Ken Swinford used an 8-iron on hole No. 13 at Dalhousie Golf Club to record his fourth career ace.
The hole was playing 160 yards.
Terry Hill, Andy Hesser and Brad Hood witnessed the shot.
Davis, Clark team for invitational title
Lyle Davis and Wayne Clark won the horse race to capture first place overall at the Dalhousie Golf Club's Gentlemen's Invitational.
Davis and Clark won the Royal Dornock flight.
Other flight winners were: Donnie Beasley and Larry Grinder (Prestwick); Woody Harrelson and Randy Woodall (Carnoustie); Jack Baumstark and Tom DeGrand (St. Andrews); Richard Adams and Bill Seabaugh (Royal Troon); Mark Todorovich and Chris Huber (Turnberry); and Rick Miller and Dwight Knowles (Muirfield).
Keefe captures first place
Jan Keefe finished first in A flight at the weekly Cape Chip a Ways golf outing.
Sharon Dow and Dottie Gill tied atop B flight, while Glenda Franklin and Jean Graham tied for the low putts.
Clara Schafer had the play of the day.
Schott wins age group by a stroke
Jesse Schott shot a 79 to finish a stroke ahead of Drew Hosp in the boys 14 and 15 18-hole tour division at the PGA Gateway Junior Series event at Hidden Trails Country Club in Dexter.
Corey Connell finished third in the division with an 81.
The next event is Tuesday at Dalhousie Golf Club.
