The Cape Area Tennis Association, which was formed in the fall, is putting on a challenge ladder event for men's singles, men's doubles and women's doubles beginning July 1.

The challenge ladder is the first of its kind offered for adult tennis players. Any member of the CATA 15 or older can participate.

The challenge ladder allows CATA members to challenge each other to matches to move up the standings. The ladder will run through September, with a tournament in October to conclude the event.

Membership dues for CATA are $10 a year per person or $20 for a family. For more information on CATA or the challenge ladder contact Donna Ryan at 243-6246.
