Banken, Donahue win tourney at Cape C.C.

James Banken and Sissy Donahue won Championship flight at the recent Couples Classic at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Steve and Gayle Shuessler won A flight, while Gary Benedict and Jeri Traser claimed B flight. Rich and Gail Morris topped C flight, Jim and Deanne Fry won D flight, and Steve and Martha Slaten finished first in E flight.

Cook wins twice in horseshoe events

Lachelle Cook was on the winning team at both SEMO Horseshoe Association events last weekend.

Cook teamed with Mike DaVault to claim first place in a 10-team competition at the Scott City Knights of Columbus. Ron LeGrand and Danny Williams placed second.

Cook and Randy Senciboy won Sunday's seven-team competition at the Backyard Club. LeGrand and Cleo Schaffer Jr. finished second.

This week's events will be Saturday at the Oran Jaycees and Sunday at the Jackson Knights of Columbus.
