The Jackson Senior Babe Ruth baseball team rode its hot offense to a 10-4 victory over New Madrid in Friday's opener but lost the second game 12-10.
Matt Stueve earned the win in the opener by going five innings.
Spencer Sander, Trent Steffens and Austin Mickan all collected two hits in the win.
Austin Mueller homered in the second game as Jackson fell to 9-1.
The Cape Girardeau Post 63 Junior American Legion baseball team won a pair of games Saturday to advance to the championship round at the Draffenville, Ky., tournament.
Adam Pennington struck out 10 over six innings to earn the win in Post 63's 9-2 win over Paducah, Ky.
Post 63 then earned a 15-1 win against Metrpolis, Ill., that was stopped after four innings.
Justin Landewee scored three runs in both games for Post 63 (8-5).
