Charles Hearn of Cape Girardeau carded his second career hole-in-one recently at Kimbeland Country Club.

Hearn used a 7-iron to ace the par 3 No. 6. Witnesses were Ron Tyson and Whitey Anderson.

Cook wins twice in horseshoe events

Lachelle Cook and Jerome Backfisch won both SEMO Horseshoe Association events last weekend at the Backyard Club.

Terrie Rose and Randy Senciboy finished second in Saturday's competition, while Senciboy and Randy Grady placed second on Sunday.

The next competition's will be Saturday at the Oran Jaycees and Sunday at the Backyard Club.

Peterman, Howard, Kapfer win event

The team of Deanna Peterman, Vickie Howard and Cathy Kapfer won scramble at the Chip-A-Ways weekly event Tuesday at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course

Largent, DeWitt win Settles tourney

Carol Largent and Betty DeWitt won the team title at the Nancy Settles Memorial Par 3 tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Ann Dombrowski and Cindy Ford finished second.

Largent posted the low net score of 54, while Dombrowski was second at 61.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Largent (No. 2), Barb Denton (No. 8), Alice Temm (No. 11) and Robin Davis (No. 18).

Hahs claims first in point series

David Hahs finished plus-20 to claim first in the monthly point series at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Pat Evans, Bill Bishop and Jim Clay all tied for second at plus-10 in the competition, which uses the Modified Stableford Point System.
