Davault, Cook team for two victories

Mike Davault and Lachelle Cook combined to win the two SEMO Horseshoe Association tournaments last weekend.

Davault and Cook won Saturday's tournament at the Oran Jaycees. Jerome Backfisch and Terrie Rose were second, while Lester Powell and Amy Pobst were third in the 10-team tournament.

Davault and Cook then won Sunday's tournament at the Oran Knights of Columbus. Danny Williams and Karen Jansen were second, while Ron LeGrand and Marvin Margrabe were third in the 13-team tournament.

The next tournament will be Sunday at the Backyard Club.

Landholt team wins championship flight

The team of Steve Landholt, Mel Kim, Ron Heuring and Paul Strattman shot a 64 to win the morning championship flight of the Lutheran Family and Children's Service Hope for Families golf tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The team of Gary Turner, Ben Turner, Doug Wessell and Cory Daniel shot a 66 for second.

The team of Donna Wheeler, Madeline Clements, Mike Cossey and Bobbie Ann Mason shot a 70 to win A flight, while the team of Dean Sawyer, Frank Larimore, Brian Larimore and Casey Dyer was second.

The team of Terry Hill, Todd Smith, Todd Ladd and Jack Greene shot a 56 to win the afternoon championship flight.

The team of Tommy Petzoldt, Marvin Petzoldt, Dimitri Thompson and Mark Francis shot a 67 to win A flight, while the team of Dan Wilson, Nelson Swan, Mark Leimbach and Gary Davie shot a 71 to win B flight.

Reinagel earns all-conference honor

Notre Dame Regional High School graduate Erika Reinagel, a freshman at Central Methodist University, has been named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference second team in softball.

Reinagel played center field for Central Methodist.
