Weinrich records ace in Augusta, Ga.
Carol Weinrich of Jackson recently recorded her first career hole in one at Goshen Plantation Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.
Weinrich used a 9-iron to ace No. 17, a par 3 playing 98 yards. Witnesses were Sissy Donahue and James Banken.
Smith wins division on opening night
Danny Smith took first place in the Midwest all-stars division on opening night at Benton Racepark.
Jacob Buechting won the pro-4 class, Jerod Wagster won the pure street division and Billy Smith won the modified division.

Vieira sets Gators record in seven events
Gabriela Vieira set a Gators team record in seven events at the Gator Long Course Kickoff swimming meet at the Central bubble.
Kevin Douglas and Austin Hobbs both set three team records.
The Gators finished second at their own meet.
Vieira, swimming in the 9 and 10 girls division, set a team record in the 50 freestyle (32.03 seconds), 400 freestyle (5:16.13), 1,500 freestyle (20:48.25), 50 backstroke (38.66), 100 backstroke (1:22.06), 50 butterfly (35.62) and 400 individual medley (6:10.61). She was the high-point trophy winner for her age division.
Douglas, in the 9 and 10 boys division, set a team record in the 50 freestyle (32.21), 50 backstroke (38.19) and 100 backstroke (1:25.40). He was the high-point trophy winner for his age division.
Hobbs, in the 9 and 10 boys division, set a team record in the 1,500 freestyle (21:11.76), 100 butterfly (1:27.57) and 400 individual medley (6:17.24). He was second in his age division.
Kristian Troxel, in the 11 and 12 boys division, set a team record in the 100 breaststroke (1:27.01) and 200 breaststroke (3:04.42). He was the high-point trophy winner for his age division.
Kyleigh Troxel, in the 11 and 12 girls division, set a team record in the 200 butterfly (2:59.16) and 400 individual medley (5:49.14). She was the high-point trophy winner for her age division.
Caleb Coots (15 and over boys) was the other Gators swimmer to finish as the high-point trophy winner for his age division.
