Scott Little of Jackson recently carded his first career hole-in-one at Kimbeland Country Club.

Little used an 8-iron to ace No. 12, a par 3 playing 145 yards. Witnesses were Homer Greening, Terry Hill and Scott Masterson.

Kelpe wins endurance race

Cape Girardeau's Bryan Kelpe completed 102.336 miles in a 24-hour period to win the Howard Aslinger Foundation run.

The race was held on a .984-mile loop around Arena Park.

John Pollihan of St. Charles, Mo., was second with 100.368 miles, while Mike Fitzgerald of Kirkwood, Mo., was third with 100.368 miles.

Scott Winkler of Murray, Ky., won the 12-hour race by covering 62.192 miles. Suzanne Kenyon of St. Louis was second with 55.264 miles and Tom Bolen of Jackson was third with 53.136 miles.

Kevin Hammes of Scott City won the midnight 5K, covering the course in 18 minutes, 8 seconds.

Joe Windeknecht of Jackson was second (19:16) and Josh Hogan of Mundelein, Ill., took third (20:41).
