Lachelle Cook and Lester Powell won the SEMO Horseshoe Association's season-opening competition Sunday.
Corie Stoverink and Travis Braswell placed second among the 14 teams, while Carolyn Schreckenberg and Edgar Stoverink finished third.
The next competition will be Sunday at the Jackson Knights of Columbus.
Joe Windeknecht of Jackson was the top local finisher at the Boston Marathon on Monday.
Windeknecht finished 4,192nd, covering the course in 3 hours, 14 minutes, 54 seconds. Also completing the race were Cape Girardeau runners Steve Schaffner (3:27:48, 6,250), Jerome Schmittzehe (4:07:14, 10,317) and Ronald Rosati (4:19:53, 10,545)
Sharon Dow shot 46 to claim the medalist honor at the Chip-A-Ways' event at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.
Christy Lind and Jan Weinhold tied in the play-of-the-day competition (scores on even holes).
Doris Breymeyer and Vicky L'Hote tied for the low-putt total.
