Suedekum fires ace at Kimbeland C.C.

Jerry Suedekum of Cape Girardeau recorded his second career hole-in-one Tuesday at Kimbeland Country Club.

Suedekum used a 7-wood to ace No. 4, a par 3 playing 115 yards. Witnesses were Dub Suedekum and Bill Colman.

Schwartz, Burnett win horseshoe event

Yvonne Schwartz and Bob Burnett won the SEMO Horseshoe Association event last Saturday at the Oran Jaycees.

Cori Stoverink and Mike Kluesner placed second, while Susie Bohannon and Randy Senciboy finished third.

Ron LeGrand and Travis Braswell claimed first place in the Sunday competition at the Backyard Club. Lachelle Cook and Mike Massa finished second, while Tyler Elfrink and Dylan Elfrink were third.

Jones, Moore, Weed claim WGA tourney

Marlena Jones, Shirley Moore and Catherine Weed won the Women's Golf Association's three-person Memorial tournament scramble at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Weinrich, Bierman win Kimbeland event

Carol Weinrich and Paula Bierman won the Kimbeland Ladies League event Wednesday.

Vickie Dye and Shauna Glueck finished second, while the team of Sissy Donahue and Karen Waller tied for third with Diana King and Sally Le Grand.

Closest-to-the-pin winner was Sharon McCune, while Teresa Rainwater had the long putt.

Peterman, Kapfer, Lind win scramble

Deanna Peterman, Christie Lind and Cathy Kapfer won the three-lady scramble at the Chip-A-Ways event at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday.

Gieblers, Sanders, Bock win scramble

The team of Lewis Bock, Scott Sanders, Brevin Giebler and Paul Giebler shot 55 to win the Young Life four-person scramble Monday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Mark Diamond, Casey Van Winkle, Tom Viers and Mike Diamond finished second at 57.

The foursome of Nick Woolard, Ryan McVey, Hunt Nagy and Tyler Norton won the high school division.

Closest-to-the-pin winners were Luke Kinder (No. 5) and Jerry Stone (No. 13). Long drive winners were Norton and Janice Lumsdon.
