Jackson's Selsor awarded grant
Jackson High School's Ty Selsor has won a National Leadership Grant sponsored by NCSA Athletic Recruiting and the National Football League Players Association.
The award is given to a select number of student athletes throughout the country in all sports. The grant is awarded to student athletes who qualify based on leadership in their community, academic achievement, athletics and a required essay written by the student athlete.
Following the selection of Selsor to be the recipient of the grant, NCSA will work with him and his family throughout his high school career and assist him to find a college that best matches his academic and athletic achievements.

Brey, Bean tie at WGA event
Judi Brey and Mary Ellen Bean tied for first in the play of the day at the Women's Golf Assocation event at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Play of the day was most threes, fours and fives.
