Susan Beth Scott of Cape Girardeau ran her medal count to four Friday at the IPC Swimming World Championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Scott won her second relay gold as her USA team won the 400-meter medley event.

Tom Benton of Cape Girardeau fired a hole-in-one Saturday at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Benton used a 6-iron to ace No. 8, a par 3 playing 155 yards. Witnesses were Spencer Hogan and David Prince.

Mapes fires her third hole-in-one

Beth Mapes of Cape Girardeau carded her third career hole-in-one Tuesday at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Mapes used a 7-wood to ace No. 2, a par 3 playing 137 yards. Witnesses were Jean Mabrey and Catharine Weed.
