WGA tees off season at Cape Girardeau C.C.

Lisa Bjelich, Kathy Morris and Janet White won the Women's Golf Association's opening-day scramble at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Vicki McKinney, Betty Michel annd Shirley Talley placed second.

Johnson wins first event at Kimbeland

Barb Johnson was medalist at the Kimbeland Country Club's season-opening ladies event Thursday.

Vickie Long and Sissy Donahue tied for first in championship flight. Other winners were Karen Heisel (A flight), Robbie Eastman (B) and Mary Rose James (C).
