Brown, Admire lead after first day

Ed Brown and Chuck Admire combined to shoot a 64 on Saturday for the lead in the scratch division after the first day of the Missouri Golf Association's four-ball championship at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Five teams were tied for second place at 65. The teams of Brad Nurski/Mark Korell, Vernon Bennett/Brad Bennett, Justin Doss/Matt Lewis, Dustin Ashby/Tim Swoboda and Mark McDowell/Mike Agers were all tied for second.

In the net division, the team of David Grebing/Duggan Duran finished at 25 under, three shots better than the teams of Ryan Friley/Scott Fontana and Mike Stein/Jim Day.

Bob Prittler of St. Louis used a 5-iron to score a hole in one on the 177-yard hole No. 11 during Saturday's competition.

The shot was witnessed by Prittler's playing partner, Bob Meeh, and Jim Dunn and David Lucks.

The tournament wraps up today at Dalhousie.
