Vinson wins NFL competition

Central freshman Chelsea Vinson won the Missouri girls 14- and 15-year-olds division of the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition.

Vinson, 15, finished with a total combined distance of 260 feet, 11 inches, which ranked 16th. It was the second consecutive year that she won the state title.

Gibsons take first at Jingle Bell run

Dylan Gibson covered the 5-kilometer course in 18 minutes, 22 seconds to win the Sain Francis Medical Center Jingle Bell run.

Lacey Gibson was the top female finisher, crossing the line in 20:54.
