Southeast Missouri State University senior setter Emily Scannell has been selected to the all-Ohio Valley Conference first team for the second straight year.

Scannell, voted to the elite squad by the league's coaches, ranks second at Southeast and in the OVC in career assists. She is a four-time all-OVC honoree, making the second team as a sophomore and the all-newcomer squad as a freshman.

Fellow Southeast senior Suzanne Gundlach, who leads the Otahkians in kills and digs, made the second team while Park Hills Central High School graduate Jessica Wilfong was voted to the all-freshmen team.

Jacksonville State's Christina Cary is the OVC player of the year while Morehead State's Jaime Gordon is coach of the year.

The OVC Tournament begins Thursday in Morehead, Ky. Southeast plays Murray State at 6 p.m.
