Basketball

* Southeast coaches clinic: The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball program will hold its annual coaches clinic Oct. 6. The clinic is open to the public and coaches on all levels. Baylor coach Scott Drew, Arkansas-Little Rock assistant and former NBA player Joe Kleine and McKendree coach Harry Statham will be the keynote speakers. Cost: $50, which includes lunch. Golf

* Southeast baseball tournament: The Southeast Missouri State baseball program will hold its seventh annual Joe Uhls golf tournament Sept. 30 at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson. The four-person scramble will feature three flights in morning and afternoon sessions. Cost: $200 per player, which includes Redhawks apparel, meal, refreshments and practice balls. * Community Counseling tournament: The Community Counseling Center Foundation's 12th annual benefit tournament will take place Oct. 7 at Cape Girardeau Country Club. The four-person 18-hole shamble will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. after an 11:30 a.m. lunch. Cost: $120. Info: 339-6512.

* Jackson Legion baseball tournament: The sixth annual Jackson American Legion baseball golf classic will take place Friday at the Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course. * Central hall of fame induction: Central High School will hold its hall of fame inductions Saturday in the high school cafeteria. There will an 8:30 a.m. breakfast followed by the induction ceremony. Tickets are $8. Info: 335-8467.
