Baseball

* Jackson camps: Coach Mark Lewis will hold the Jackson American Legion baseball instructional fall league at Jackson's Legion Field. The sessions begin Monday and run for eight weeks. They will go from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Players in grades 9 to 12 will go Mondays and Wednesdays. Players in grades 6 to 8 will go Tuesdays and Thursdays. Players in grades 3 to 5 will go Fridays. Cycling

* Crankfest mountain bike race: The Crankfest mountain bike race will take place Sunday at Klaus Park in Cape Girardeau. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and closes 15 minutes before each race. There will be various categories. Info: Cyclewerx, 334-4474.

Football

* Flag football league: Registration is open for Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department's flag football league for boys and girls ages 5 to 14. Games are played Saturday afternoons and some Monday nights starting in September. Cost: $50 per player, which includes an NFL replica jersey and flag belt. Deadline: Aug. 26. Golf

* Southeast baseball tournament: The Southeast Missouri State baseball program will hold its seventh annual Joe Uhls golf tournament Sept. 30 at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson. The four-person scramble will feature three flights in morning and afternoon sessions. Cost: $200 per player, which includes Redhawks apparel, meal, refreshments and practice balls. * Saxony Lutheran tournament: The 12th annual Saxony Golf Classic will take place Sept. 16 at Cape Girardeau Country Club. There are tee times available at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Cost: $105 for morning tee times, $115 for afternoon tee times. Info: Saxony Lutheran High School, 204-7555.

* Community Counseling tournament: The Community Counseling Center Foundation's 12th annual benefit golf tournament will take place Oct. 7 at Cape Girardeau Country Club. The four-person 18-hole shamble will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cost: $120. Info: 339-6512.
