Southeast camps: Southeast Missouri State will hold a variety of sports camps. Camps offered will be for baseball, men's and women's basketball, football, gymnastics, soccer, softball and volleyball. Central Junior High camps: The Central Junior High will hold camps during the summer at the school. The wrestling camp will run from 9 to 11 a.m. July 9 to 13. The football camp will run from 9 to 11 a.m. July 23 to 26. All the camps are free. Info on any camp: 651-6246.

Notre Dame camps: Notre Dame coaches will hold a variety of camps at the high school. A boys basketball camp for kindergarten and first-graders will run from 8 to 9 a.m. July 9 to 13. Cost: $60. A boys basketball camp for grades 2 to 4 will run from 9 to 11 a.m. July 9 to 13. Cost: $70. A boys basketball camp for grades 5 to 8 will run from 1 to 3 p.m. July 9 to 13. Cost: $70. A wrestling camp for grades 4 to 8 will run from 2 to 4 p.m. July 23 to 27. Cost: $50. Info: 335-6772.

Saxony Lutheran girls basketball camps: Saxony Lutheran girls basketball coach Sam Sides will hold camps at the high school July 9 to 12. The camp for girls entering grades 4 to 8 will go from 4 to 5:30 p.m., while girls entering grades 9 to 12 will go from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost: $45. Info: Sam Sides, 204-7555.

Golf

First Tee: The First Tee, an international organization that uses golf to teach life skills, is seeking volunteers and participants for an eight-week session in Cape Girardeau. The dates for the session have not been determined. The session is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 17, and all equipment is provided. RSVP/VIC tournament: The 14th annual Retired Senior Volunteer Program Volunteer Intergenerational Center golf tournament will be July 20 at the Cape Girardeau Jaycee Municipal Golf Course. The four-person scramble will start at 1 p.m. The tournament is limited to 25 teams. Cost: $75 per person, which includes lunch at noon. Info: 335-7555 or 887-3664.

Food Bank tournament: The Southeast Missouri Food Bank's Full Course Golf Classic will take place Aug. 6 at Dalhousie Golf Club. Lunch starts at noon and the four-scramble begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cost: $125 per person, which includes a cart and lunch. Info: 651-0400.

Central Booster Club tournament: The Cape Central Booster Club will hold its 21st annual tournament July 6 at Cape Girardeau Country Club. Morning and afternoon tee times are available. Info: Jerry Kratochvil, 979-5716, or centralboostergolf@hotmail.com.

Miscellaneous

Sports physicals: Summer sports physicals will be offered at the Central Junior High from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon July 17. Athletes must have a parent's signature on the physical form. Cost: $20. Info: 651-6246.

Running

Jackson cross country camps: Jackson High School, Jackson Junior High and Jackson Intermediate School will hold a free cross country camp for boys and girls entering grades 6 to 12. Two-mile run: The Deuces Wild 2-mile run will take place at 8 a.m. July 14 at Arena Park. Chip timing and music will be provided. Cost: $10 by Sunday, $15 by July 12, $20 race day. Info: splitmastertiming.com.

Tennis

Youth league: There will be a tennis league for youths from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturdays. Participation is on a drop-in bases and is free to players. Info: Donna Ryan, 332-1614.
