* Pitch, hit and run competition: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition May 9 at Arena Park on baseball field No. 6. * Southeast camps: The Southeast Missouri State football program, under coach Tony Samuel, will hold two camps June 27 for high school players. There will be a 7-on-7 tournament for quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, tight ends, safeties, cornerbacks and linebackers. The cost per team is $200 and each team is guaranteed five games. * PGA tournament trip: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a trip to Memphis, Tenn., for the final day, June 14, of the Stanford St. Jude Championship at the TPC Southwind. Distances are determined by age -- adults: 500-yard swim, 2-mile run; 7- and 8-year olds: 50-meter swim, 1-mile run; 9- and 10-year olds: 100-meter swim, 1-mile run; 13- to 15-year olds: 200-meter swim, 1-mile run.
