* Youth sign-ups: The Jackson Boys Baseball League will accept registrations in the community room at the Jackson City Hall, which is located on the third floor above the library, from 1 to 4 p.m. today and 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Registration forms also can be found at www.jblbaseball.org.

* Babe Ruth meeting: The SEMO South Junior Babe Ruth team will meet at 7 p.m. March 18 at the Chaffee City Hall Council room. The league is open to boys ages 13 to 15 in the area. Info: Mitch Dooley, 270-0963.

* Doctors vs. Lawyers game: The 17th annual doctors vs. lawyers basketball game to benefit the Community Counseling Center Foundation will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Central High School gym. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. There will be a postgame party at the Osage Community Centre. Tickets for the party are $20 and include food, beverages and admission to the game. Info: Larry Essner, 339-6512.

Running

* Endurance run: The Howard L. Aslinger Foundation endurance run will take place March 19 and 20 at the 4-H Building in Arena Park. There will be a 24-hour run, 12-hour run and 1-hour run. The 24-hour run and 12-hour night run will begin at 7 p.m. March 19. The 12-hour day run will begin at 7 a.m. March 20, and the 1-hour run will begin at 6 p.m. March 20. It will be held on a flat 1-mile paved course. Cost: $80 for the 24-hour race, $60 for the 12-hour race, $30 for the 1-hour race if registered before March 1; $100 for the 24-hour race, $75 for the 12-hour race, $40 for the 1-hour race if registered after March 1.
