Camps

Southeast camps: Southeast Missouri State will hold a variety of sports camps this summer. All the camp information can be found on the Southeast athletics department website at gosoutheast.com

Notre Dame camps: Notre Dame Regional high School will hold a variety of youth sports camps this summer. Included are boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, track and field, tennis and wrestling, along with a youth soccer premier camp. Central Jr. High camps: Various camps -- including boys and girls basketball, volleyball, wrestling, football and cheer -- are being offered at Central Junior High this summer. Cost vary, including some camps that are free. Info: Terry Kitchen, 519-0669 or school office, 334-2923.

Jackson Baseball Camps: Summer Baseball Camp 2013 for boys in grades 6-8 will be held Tuesday and Wednesday; for boys in grades 3-5 will be held Thursday and Friday. Times are 10 a.m.-noon for both camps, which will be held at Herzog Stadium in Jackson. Cost is $50. Info: Bryan Austin, 979-9273.

Mizzou Baseball Caravan Camps: The University of Missouri baseball program will make caravan camp stops June 10-11 in Jackson at Whitey Herzog Stadium. Instruction will be by the Mizzou coaching staff. Kids Camp, for grades 2-8, will be from 8 a.m.-noon and cost $125. High School Camp, for grades 9-12, will be from 12:30 p.m.-4 p.m. and cost $125. T.E.A.M tournament: The eighth annual T.E.A.M. Southeast golf tournament will be June 10 at Kimbeland Country Club. The tournament is a fundraiser for the Southeast Missouri State football team. Junior Golf Series: The Southeat Missouri Section Junior Golf Series will hold eight events at Southeast Missouri golf courses for boys and girls ages 10 to 19. The first event is May 29 and the final event July 17. Costs: boys and girls (ages 10 to 19) nine-hole division, $100; boys and girls (ages 12 to 19) 18-hole regular division, $150; tour division (ages 14-19), $150. Tournament sites will be Hidden Trails C.C. (Dexter), Kennett C.C., Bent Creek Golf Course (Jackson), Cape Girardeau C.C., Kimbeland C.C. RSVP tournament: The 15th annual RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) golf tournament will be held July 19 at 1 p.m. (check-in starts at noon) at the Cape Girardeau Jaycees Municipal Golf Course. Sports physicals

Central Jr. High: Summer sports physicals will be given in the CJHS nurse's office from 10 a.m.,-noon on June 25, and from 1-3 p.m. on July 15. Forms are located outside the main office in the student information center. Parent(s) must sign the physical form.

Tennis

Summer camps: Summer youth tennis camps at Central High School begin the week of June 10 and continue through the week of July 16. Registration can be done by the session or for all five sessions. There are three levels. Quick Start, for ages 5 through 7, meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Cost is $15 per week. Intermediate, for ages 8 through 11, meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Cost is $25 per week. Advanced, for ages 11 through 16, meets Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Cost is $25 per week. Info: Donna Ryan, 332-1614.
