Wednesday is the first day that Missouri high schools are allowed to conduct official practices for the 1997 fall sports season and Cape Central High has announced details regarding its opening workouts.
Following is a listing of each fall sport's opening practice schedule (all athletes must have a completed physical and proof of medical insurance before they can participate).
Football -- 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at Central High (freshmen football will begin practice Aug. 18 at 8 a.m.).
Cross Country -- 6:30 p.m. at Central High.
Softball -- 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. at Arena Park for juniors and seniors, 5 p.m. at Arena Park for freshmen and sophomores.
Soccer -- 6 a.m. for freshmen, 6:30 a.m. for sophomores, 7 a.m. for juniors and 7:30 a.m. for seniors, all at the field near Southeast Missouri State University's track.
Girls Tennis -- 8 a.m. at Central High.
Volleyball -- 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Central High.
