AREA BRIEFS: TURKEY TROT RUN

The Cape Road Runners will hold their annual Turkey Trot 3-Mile Cross Country Run on Nov. 23.

The event will also include a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk.

The race begins at 1 p.m. at the Cape County Park South Shelter.

There will also be a food drive that will benefit needy families in the area during the holiday season. The club will use the entry fee proceeds to purchase turkeys to accompany the food items.

Awards will be presented to the overall male and female runners in the 3-mile race and awards will be give to each age division winner.
