AREA BRIEFS: SEMO, ZIMMER TO HOST FOOTBALL TAILGATES

Beginning with Saturday's 6 p.m. game against Illinois State, Southeast Missouri State University and Zimmer Radio Group will host a tailgate party at every Southeast home football contest this season.

The event, which will start three hours before the game and last until kickoff, is free to the public and held south of Houck Stadium (Circle Drive).

The tailgate parties will feature free drinks from Pepsi, Kohlfeld Distributing and Bluff City Beer, and food will be available for purchase from Jimmy John's, Paglia's Pizza and the Southeast Foreign Language Department.

Other home games are Sept. 23 (Western Kentucky), Oct. 21 (Murray State and Oct. 28 (Tennessee-Martin).
