AREA BRIEFS: OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

The Optimist International Junior Golf Championship will be held June 5 at the Cape Jaycees Municipal Golf Course in Cape Girardeau.

The tournament will consist of five age divisions for both boys and girls in ages ranging from 6 to 18.

Entry fee is $35.

The tournament is a prequalifier for the district qualifier on June 10-11 in Columbia. The top finishers in the prequalifier will have guaranteed entries at the district qualifier and will have their entry fee paid for by the Optimists.
