AREA BRIEFS: CO-ED VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its second annual Osage Invitational Co-ed Volleyball Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 7.

The registration deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3

The event will be a 6-on-6 format and there must be three males and three females on the court at all times.

Play will begin with divisional pool play and the top two teams from each pool will advance to a single-elimination tournament.

The entry fee for the tournament is $50 per team, which must be paid by the registration deadline date, and accompanied with a team roster.

The tournament will be played at the Osage Community Centre, which is located at 1625 N. Kingshighway. The check-in time will be at 9 a.m., and play will begin at 10 a.m.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first- through third-place teams.
