Delta, junior
* Smith led Delta in scoring at 16.2 points a game and came up with two of her biggest performances in the sectional and quarterfinal rounds to help the Bobcats reach the Class 1 final four. Smith showed the ability to beat defenders off the dribble, and when she got to the free throw line, Smith shot nearly 80 percent.
Bobbie Jones,
Jackson, senior
* Jones was one of the most aggressive players in the area, allowing her to average 15.6 points per game and play an effective role on Jackson's press. The 5-foot-9 Jones helped lead the Indians to a district title thanks to a 26-point performance in the district championship game. She was named this season to the second-team all-state in Class 5 and was named the SEMO Conference player of the year.
Kristain Burger, Notre Dame, junior
* Burger transitioned from an all-state season in softball to a successful basketball campaign. She averaged 15.2 points a game, earned first-team all-conference honors and earned second-team all-state honors. At 5-11, Burger used her athleticism and quickness to lead the Bulldogs in scoring.
Lauren Lueders, Saxony Lutheran, senior
* Lueders' four-year career with Saxony Lutheran's boys basketball team came to a close this past season as the 5-8 guard averaged 9.1 points a game. Lueders continued to be deadly from 3-point range and made a splash in the fall as she signed with Vanderbilt, a perennial top-25 women's program. Lueders also earned first-team all-state honors in Class 1 girls, and is a candidate for Miss Missouri Basketball.
Brittney Peet,
Scott County Central, junior
* Peet averaged 22 points per game for the Bravettes, whose season ended with a sectional loss to Delta. Despite standing just 5-5, she averaged 10 rebounds per contest to go along with six steals and four assists.
