The boys’ and girls’ All-SEMO Conference Team was recently released.
Those selected were Sikeston junior Dontrez Williams, New Madrid County Central juniors Jadis Jones and BJ Williamson, Charleston sophomore PJ Farmer and senior Rico Coleman, Cape Central senior Cameron Williams and junior Jay Reynolds, Jackson senior Clayton Ernst and junior Blayne Harris and Dexter senior Cole Nichols.
Dontrez Williams averaged 20.3 points per game while shooting 54 percent from the field this past season. He also averaged 8.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.6 blocks while leading the Bulldogs to a Class 5, District 1 Championship.
Jones and Williamson led the Eagles to a Class 3 State Championship. Jones shot 64 percent from the field and averaged 23.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 3.3 steals and 1.2 blocks.
Williamson finished the season averaging 19.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.6 steals and 0.8 blocks.
Coleman averaged 15.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.9 blocks, while Farmer averages were 17.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 4.2 steals and 0.6 blocks.
Cameron Williams and Reynolds led the Tigers to SEMO Conference Tournament and regular season titles.
Nichols was a prolific scorer and set a new Bearcats record for points in a career.
Cape Central’s Drew Church was named the Boys’ Coach of the Year.
For the girls, Sikeston sophomore Ladri Hammontree was picked after leading the SEMO Conference in scoring. She finished the season averaging 20.7 points and 8.2 assists, and did so while shooting 56 percent from the field, 82.1 percent from the free throw line and 43 percent from 3-point range.
Other girls to make the team were NMCC sophomore Emani Summers, Notre Dame senior Tori Rubel and freshman Nevaeh Lucious, Jackson senior Katie Waller and sophomore Camryn Alsdorf, Dexter sophomore Kate Nichols, Poplar Bluff senior Madelyn Eads, Saxony Lutheran junior Evie Caruso, and Kennett senior Lani Heeb.
Rubel and Lucious led the Lady Bulldogs to a fourth-place finish in Class 5.
Caruso averaged 9.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.6 blocks.
Notre Dame’s Kirk Boller was named the Girls’ Coach of the Year.
