Dalhousie Golf Club will host 144 players when the American Junior Golf Association event rolls into town next month. Dalhousie Golf Club will host 144 players when the American Junior Golf Association event rolls into town next month.

The field is set for the AJGA event, a 54-hole tournament for boys and girls ages 12 to 18. It runs from June 18 to 21.

Two of the top boys golfers are Jack Belote of Bartlett, Tenn., and Ryan Sirman of Tyler, Texas. Belote recorded four top-12 finishes last season. Sirman has three top-12 finishes this season.

On the girls side, Katie Sylvan of San Diego has 10 top-10 finishes in AJGA events. She'll be challenged by Jennifer Kirby of Paris, Ontario, and Courtney Harter of Clearwater, Fla. Kirby took third at the 2006 Junior All-Star at Toftrees while Harter has two AJGA victories during her career.

Poplar Bluff's Danner McCauley earned a spot in the tournament during a recent qualifier. Trent Hillis of Poplar Bluff is also in the field.

T.J. Smith of Jackson received a course exemption to participate in the tournament.
