Advance opened up a 21-point first quarter lead and cruised to an 81-51 semifinal victory Tuesday against No. 6 Bloomfield in the Class 2 District 2 boys basketball tournament at Bloomfield.
The second-seeded Hornets will meet No. 1 South Iron, a 62-51 winner over East Carter County, in the championship Thursday at 8 p.m.
Jeremy Limbaugh led all scorers with 18 points for Advance. Daryl Wade added 17, James Masters had 12 and Alex Steil chipped in 10.

The Braves will face top-seeded Clarkton in the title contest Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Sixth-seeded St. Vincent outscored No. 3 Crossroads 11-6 in the final quarter to break a 32-32 tie and advance to the semifinal round of the Class 2 District 3 tournament at South County Tech High School in St. Louis County.
The Squaws will face No. 2 Viburnum at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
