Advance defeats Puxico 4-2

Jacob Bond pitched a complete game as Advance posted a 4-2 victory against visiting Puxico on Tuesday in high school baseball action.

Bond hurled seven innings, allowed three hits, two earned runs, two walks and struck out a batter to earn the win for the Hornets (5-6).

Garret Mayo provided the winning run in the fourth inning when he singled, stole second and later came home on an error. Mayo helped add an insurance run in the sixth inning with a squeeze bunt.
