Southeast Missouri State University has narrowed its athletic director choice to two candidates, who will be visiting the campus in the next week.

Athletic director finalists are Paul Kwalcyczk and Dr. Terry Wanless.

Kwalcyck, associated athletic director at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., will visit the campus today where he will be formally introduced as a finalist. He has 13 years of experience in athletics administration at Northwestern, Kansas State, Portland State, Youngstown State and Kent State.

Wanless is the director of intercollegiate athletics at the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks and will visit Southeast on Wednesday. Wanless has 27 years of experience in athletic administration at North Dakota, West Carolina and Towson State.

Carroll Williams has been serving as interim athletic director at Southeast since the spring of 1997 after Dr. Richard McDuffie accepted the position of athletic director at Eastern Illinois.
